Family Cycling Events
Originally designed to be a destination for cycling families who rode in the mega-popular Bike Bus, the Congregation designed a Bus Station.
Our two parking lot, two path, time trial, and criterium courses made the church property a place of preparation, and transportation to the next station in cycling skill.
Ronin track coaches from the recently destroyed Alpenrose Velodrome, sought real estate and social mandate to re-purpose their professorial energy.
An athletic congregation sought new young families to offer their elder capability and hospitable benevolence to. Hungry parents and children seeking community excitement and accomplishment found a safe
place to play and exceed their normal limits.
While admission is free, accomplishment charges. It charges the body and the mind. Speed challenges the muscles and the heart. Bravery meets laughter at the finish line of accomplishment.
It doesn't take long to scale the day's highest height. Maybe twenty three seconds if you are slow. Fourteen point-four seconds if you are the fastest. In just the second month, most everyone has increased their time by about a second.
A Professor from America's Army War College records the times at the finish.
Parents help. Children congregate around him and his blaring race radio, at their leisure.
Leg speed leads to laughter, and acuity.
Hospitality leads to security and confidence.
With our Kevin, all paths lead to kindness.
Snacks and gifts make noticeably greater joy in
the hearts
Mostly, in conclusion,
everyone is more playful now, and certainly much more familiar with the Multnomah District and it's beautiful forested property at 7555 SW 45th.
This event is still small,
seemingly undiscovered on the large scale,
but perhaps that is a good thing,
because it sure is fun now.
It always feels like it ends early.
