Enlightenment in the young mind is rare, but epiphany is the first step. Boxing was like that for Mikiah.
As part of Bicycles and Ideas for Kids' Empowerment, swimming lessons at Matt Dishman Community Center, formerly known as the Knott Street Boxing Gym, led b.i.k.e. to introduce old friends to young minds while snacking after swimming.
Matt Dishman is where b.i.k.e. started, and Knott Street Boxing and Cyclisme Racing Programs have collaborated many times.
Simply because Mikiah started cycling on long rides when she was a young child, does not mean she intends to race bicycles all her life.

But with everyone rolling out for a Saturday adventure, sometimes it's hard to resist.
And when she does roll out, people smile.
Mikiah has a great sense of humor.
On the street, people naturally smile as she, and her entourage pass bye.
Mikiah sees the cycling team as a familiar means to an end.
Galleries and Museums are OFTEN the destination, and she acts as a safety leader on the road.
